Location:
Henleaze
Scope of Works:
Complete refurbishment of former gardener’s house and outbuildings with extensions at the ground, first and second floor levels and addition of a double garage to the side. The house and outbuildings were set in a large plot and the design brief was to create a large family dwelling balancing the accommodation with amenity space. The character and original features of the house are retained and complemented by the modern extensions to create a mix of open plan living space and the other more private spaces at the ground floor level with bedroom and bathroom accommodation on the two levels above. The original outbuildings to the rear have been extended using contemporary materials such as powder coated aluminium windows and doors, flat roof lights and a GRP roof. The large glazed areas open out onto the magnificent garden to the rear. The existing peach house to the end of the garden was subsequently refurbished to complete the project.
